About EasySwatch

EasySwatch was created by Pam and Dale Yocum: one avid watercolor painter and palette user, one longtime technology builder, and two people who believe good tools should make the creative process more fun—not more complicated.

Watercolor painters often own far more beautiful paint than any one palette can hold. Building a travel, workshop, plein-air, or studio palette means making dozens of tradeoffs: which colors earn a place, which pan sizes fit, where mixing space belongs, and how the final object should be organized.

Pam Yocum - the painter’s eye

Pam is an avid watercolor artist and Art Toolkit user. She brings the practical questions behind EasySwatch: Will this fit? Can I find the color I need quickly? Does the arrangement make sense with a brush in hand? Will the printed guide match the object on the table?

Her experience keeps EasySwatch grounded in the actual rhythms of choosing, carrying, and using watercolor paint.

Dale Yocum - the builder

Dale is a software designer/programmer with decades of experience is the technical side of EasySwatch. He translates Pam’s real-world insights into a browser-based tool that feels direct and dependable.

His goal is not to put more technology between painters and painting. It is to make the planning step easier, then get out of the way.
